INDIA recorded a sharp boost in the value of its spice exports over the April to November 2011 period despite a dip in overall volumes. Spices Board data shows that the country's spice exports generated Rs62bn ($1.17bn) during the latest eight month period, an increase of 43% from the Rs43.35bn achieved between April and November 2010 on higher realisations from small cardamom, ginger and nutmeg and mace.
