INDIA'S exports of spices and spice products during April to December 2010 were up 16% in value year-on-year and 3% in volume. Over the period the country shipped a total of 391,560 tonnes compared with 378,950 tonnes in the same period of 2009, generating Rs48.8bn ($1.05bn) in revenue against Rs42.22bn between April and December 2009, a 21% increase in dollar terms the Indian Spices Board noted.
