INCREASED availability from other origins appears to have depressed exports of Indian chilli and coriander in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, compared with the same period a year earlier. Exports of chilli dropped to 33,000 tonnes valued at Rs1.14bn ($26.13m) between April and June, from 40,143 tonnes worth Rs1.48bn in the same period a year earlier.
